If I Change Client Data, Will This Impact Existing Estimates?
As you make changes to client details, this can have an impact upon both new and existing estimates. To keep your estimations as quick and accurate as possible, we have defined the following rules:
- When a new estimate is created, fields will be automatically populated with client defaults. However, only updates to the following Edit Client fields will impact the estimate after its creation:
- Rate Card
- Estimate Design
- If a Reviewed estimate is reverted to Opportunity, updates to the following Edit Client fields will be implemented:
- Rate Card
- Estimate Design
- Pre-existing estimates with a Reviewed or Closed state will never be impacted by any changes to a client’s details, so long as they remain in this state.
